No interesting cash hands, haven't got deep enough at any of the tables for anything fun, just losing a little. Running good over the last few days in MTTs and managed another 3 cashes in the winter series + win which puts me at first place on the leaderboard with 5 days left. Nice to redeem myself HU after yesterdays display. Fingers crossed!

I've decided I am not gonna grind cash for my bonus this week as it just isn't worth it 😉

KEKW.png.46bef2bc3aa04da5baaa37e8f4f08658.png

On the plus side I managed to ladder a winter series with ~3bb and managed to get from 35th ITM to 15th for some lovely leaderboard points.

Played some 100PLO since I am not multitabling for my bonus so went for some 1 tabling.

No interesting hands and lost £120, final hand: All in pre

rekt.png.e87f2f0682d275da20d2b51a8061fa20.png

Laddered from 19th out of 20 ITM to 7th place in a winter series turbo and managed ITM in another to increase my lead to 9 points with 12 tournaments left. I feel more ICM pressure in these low stakes turbos than I ever have before because of this leaderboard dynamic, I love it. The tournaments just feel so much more meaningful! 3 days left to run good in super turbo donkaments and the upswing voucher is mine! VAMANOS!

Without the MTT rungood I would be losing about 700 this month. People talk about 20-40 BI downswings in PLO like they are common and to be expected, my winrate is 15bb/100+ at 25PLO over the last 150k hands on Unibet/Party/Sky and 20bb+/100 3 handed or HU. So a breakeven/downswing stretch like this at PLO is something that only happens once every couple of years in my lifetime (thankfully)

The playthrough bonus is really mugging me off. Everytime I log in I am reminded about how I am not going to complete it and have 4 days left to try. It really is a smart idea to put them in. I wonder how many poor souls get lured into grinding through downswings and losing massive chunks of money playing their B or C game to clear a bonus.

Definitely not + Life EV. At least not for me.

  1. No more whiny bullshit. No more complaining about runouts / badbeats / general runbad
  2. No more ego

I grinded 200 €2 Hexapros before eventually conceding and returning to the cash games. I Made about €40

One annoying spot came up in the Titan just before the bubble, After getting 3bet by a tight guy I went with low frequency 4b jam 20% and 80% call and rolled a jam 40bb eff. Is this bad? Probably lower frequency jam due to ICM. 4 off the money I have 150% avg.

Pretty cooleriii , yeah dont worry about it, + when he has enough AK and AQ, it will never bee too bad, tho yes, will make varience bigger. If it would be played out - yeah... I mean we go broke any day there - so just "sucks to be you" there..

Only managed 1/4 cashes in the winter series and came 5th for a few points. Holding 3rd on the leaderboard with 1 day left which would be €300 but anything can happen.

Biggest cash pot: I 3b pre and opponent donked for pot on flop and turn and shoved 2/3 pot on river. Not the best river at first glance but it actually was the nut river vs this specific opponent. Ez game sometimes.

0/4 in the final day of the winter series but still managed to come 5th on the leaderboard for 15000 bonus points. I'm very happy with the result considering I bricked all 4 tournaments on the final day.

Bonus completed + the leaderboard prize boosts the bankroll for an extra €280.

I spent around €150 trying to get into one of the promotional jackpot hexapros (which I did). As the table popped open my client froze and it took me a good 4-5 minutes to get back in and have all tables open. I had around 16-20 tables open I think? And I have a brand new gaming laptop that can definitely handle the processing so IDK what to say. Don't open 20 tables as it might crash the client? After getting the client back to see AQs vs a BU all in I didn't manage to get the call in time. I finished 3rd

The whole experience tilted me to THE MOOOOOOON and I blacked out and the next day I wake up with €300 less in the account. Samlife

No MTT action this week for me so far, just a lot of early exits and mincashes.

Running at 2/4 in pots over €100 (which is already an improvement on last month!)

Biggest cash hand(cash amount) - €153.49:

Single raised pot where I 3/4 pot the flop and get called by SB and checkraised by the BB. Not always a fistpump jam, but on this table it was. (We have 49.55% 3way so essentially + 50bb spot in EV)

potd0502.png.f13334a45ebd13e2cf70cf46bce01cbb.png

Biggest cash hand(BB amount) - 511BBs

I 4bet pre and got 3 callers. All in on the flop gets 1 call. Justice turn card to drop his equity to 10%

After grinding for a few weeks I have reduced my average daily punt count to below 2. Hooray!

Biggest pot, I flat badreg UTG+1 open on button and then 4bet vs a badreg BB 3bet and badreg UTG+1 call. We have ~40% pre vs their wide ranges.

potd0602.png.d82859505dc151be024b1c78238ad6b7.png

Yesterday's punt:

I 3b pre and just bet/bet/bet vs yet another badreg. oops.

No blog updates as I have been busy grinding + have started managing a League of Legends esports team. Not as much spare time for complaining about how bad I run! 🤣

Biggest pot was an absolute gift, he jammed turn over my pot bet after I x/r flop: wat

potd1102.png.458ee6cdb0bc87988c355c22921669ca.png

Biggest punt: after playing exclusively PLO I loaded up some NL tables and first hand I open rip 100bbs instead of raise (PLO tables have pot limit so i just jam for max and click raise). I've now adjusted my default PLO raise to be 3x so this should prevent it from happening again. -€25

The blog rungood is back 😄

Some hands:

Biggest pot (BBs) It's nice to get a preflop spot with so much equity, very unlucky for the opponent we have such good sidecards with our AA vs their specific hand. We have 72.3% EZ game.

potd1602.png.7373cba0aa0d90d91a004d0871d8a271.png

Biggest pot (€€€) Took a 1/2 shot when I was running good and... continued to run good

ppotd1602.png.45d207b75fc75e1ac949f08a29572003.png

No MTT scores but my ITM rate has been consistent and just missing out on some big pots late in the tournament, no complaints here though. Setting my sights on hitting level 7 before the end of the quarter and looking to play 10% more volume in the second half of the month. Gl at the tables unless you're vs me.

So I lost all the money I made yesterday and more at the 50plo and 25 tables It started of -200 at 50PLO vs monkeys at keyboards.  Then the rest at 25plo and NL tables. I lost every all in I played for about 1500 hands. Cashed out full balance and taking time off. WTF? I am in shock.

Gonna play the chip race MTT later and the Titan. I lost about £400 yesterday after I worked it out. It got to the point where people would just put the money in because noone had seen me win a pot.

Some fun hands along the way so you know I wasn't BSing:

4b pre all in on flop, gotta love the BB coldcall 3b with KJT2 and then call 4b. He knows I can't win a pot. Excellent fish logic. Too good.

Will be playing all of the UOS low and some of the UOS mid. I don't know how a €50 rebuy is considered midstakes but there we go.

One mincash in a mid UOS was the only MTT result. Happy with how I am playing though. Got some huge exploits off vs a few of the weaker MTT regs who never change their name.

Played a bit higher than normal on Sunday at the cash tables since the pools were soft and booked a 2 buyin win to offset my MTT losses. Overall a profitable weekend without much volume.

Biggest pot won:

He donks turn for pot, I raise call and rebink. Extremely high level stuff going on hereimage.png.d71356fa0c388b4fedef3e2e40a5ad06.png

Biggest pot lost:

3b pre, Opponent 1/3 pot flop and stacks off to raise (60/40)

I managed to punt a 30bb stack in the Titan with 6 left a few nights ago and went out in 6th, it was absolute ICM suicide.

But what do we say to the god of punts? Not today.

UOS Mid 39 is in the bag!

I've had a rather low volume week but this will definitely get me motivated to play a big weekend schedule

The good news is I won another UOS:

image.png.c11827104412715eb0753436b391377f.png

The bad news is I didn't run good at the higher cash games when i took a shot (.50/1 & 1/2) and then played a C- cash game grind back at lower stakes because I was still frustrated. Not going to post any hands because I would be breaking my own blog rules 😉

The MTT win covers the losses I took at cash with a little bit left to spare. And more importantly, UOS leaderboard top 10 is now back in my sights!

  • 9 months later...

Long time no see after i raged off of the site after getting my bonuses blocked by support, but I'm back.

Played on party poker for a few months and had OK results in the real name events but no major scores after a lot of day 2s.

partypokermtt.png.16b630facc29a8e33946a7cec0e5caa4.png

Span up a 300 deposit to ~5k but donked most of it off playing too high PLO after bad sessions (what's new). It was a decent spin but most of it was because they gave me 65% rakeback instead of the 30% max they advertise.

When the rakeback offer ended and I heard about the unibet changes on the Chip Race podcast I figured it was worth coming back to unibet since they do seem to have their heart in the right place on the macro level.

So far just grinding the low stakes PLO apart from 1 satty  1 freeroll and 1 PLO mtt.

After an initial redeposit of £300 I've withdrawn the deposit and have left £200 on the account to try and spin.

December goals: 2k profit, ship the nightly PLO tournament, no arguing on the forum

Good start, running considerably below EV on the PLO tables but shipped a 100x hexapro in the promotion for €500 so can't complain.

I've started drilling my push fold on gtowizard since it is actually my weakest game for sure and there are a lot of regs playing way more accurately than me at the 5-15bb level.

It was actually humbling to see how bad I am at the spin n go format. When I drill the other formats I usually get 95-100% accuracy for preflop but at the super short 3 handed with no antes I am actually a whale! Good to know.. Not for long.

Biggest loss:

I cold 4bet and arrive at flop with 2.5 SPR. Considered potting it but went with half pot or check which sets up a 1 SPR on the turn which I jammed when i pick up a FD. would rather have an 8 or a 5 with my AA but picking up the FD and pair blocker is good enough to jam it I think. The guy snaps preflop and flop and then tanks turn. Some people.. NH dickhead

It seems you are familiar to Omaha, let me ask a question:

Bubble situation (2 tables) at the €25 Omaha Wrap (Major), enemy is playing many hands, not worring to make a call or c-bet on the flop.

n1.png.200d6656a46e5699ead06a09cbc92645.png

n2.png.2fad4bbabc00278f3a84ab4c3128ee59.png

n3.png.d8daa99372129752edfa8571625ec81e.png

I think i made a terrible decisions in that hand, because I should have make a rr preflop and another rr on flop. Turn fold was acceptable. On the other hand I wouldn't make a coinflip in bubble situation, because I didn't have any fd or straight draw options. What do you think?

@psrquack Wow that is a nasty spot. ICM is weighted differently in bountys and future game sim matters more due to bounty considerations. Take a look at the field and the stacks and decide are you going to crush these or not.

Taking your line is going to lock a mincash with like a 20% chance of getting top 3. Taking an aggressive line will mean you bubble sometimes but also make top 3 ~40% of the time and the payout structure is parabolic and not linear. To simplify: If you are a good HU player go for the win and raise flop.
