Bladerunner Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Hi,Practically the whole afternoon the Unibet site was down. Also the Community site was not accessible. That is not so funny when you have just placed a bet before everything went down. I would think that the Nr. 1 gambling site in Belgium is a lot more stable than this. I would also assume that, when things are not working as they should, the company will take his reponsibility and compensate the client, especially when you are a regular one. I have placed this bet with coupon-id 2754905408 before it went down. So I think it would be a nice gester to void the bet.Thank you.
FreedoM Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 You do understand that just because they had trouble with the internet or whatever it has nothing to do with the outcome of your coupon? 1
Bladerunner Posted August 30, 2020 Author Posted August 30, 2020 No? I could have done a lot of things: I could have done nothing and lost the bet, maybe I could have cashed out and let it so, maybe I could have cashed out and placed another bet on the match, maybe I could have cashed out and placed a bet on a different match, ... But I couldn't do nothing or anticipate on events, because the whole thing was down..... This is not some simple joke site, but a serious gambling site we're talking about where you expect things to work! 1
Bladerunner Posted August 30, 2020 Author Posted August 30, 2020 Let me put it like this: you are playing poker and gained a lot of money. Suddenly the site goes down and everything you had is gone now. I think you would also be seriously pissed. Thanks for the empathy btw...
FreedoM Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 I think it's a matter of perspective, there's no point in being pissed off, even if your poker example happens, the company is regulated/legal in your country and your money is safe even if it doesn't show up right this second and you need to wait a couple of days to appear. But about your betting coupon, you have a point. Also would be great if we lived in a perfect world, but we don't.
Uni-Rep Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 It's not an issue we could have done anything about. There have been widespread internet issues in the entire country. We are of course sorry this happened, but we can't compensate you for a bet you placed before the issue started. The issue didn't have any impact on the outcome. Check the latest poker release notes. Bladerunner Posted August 30, 2020 Author Posted August 30, 2020 @Stubbe-Unibet I do not accept this simple answer. You are responsible for your company. My internet worked just fine here, your website didn't. This was the announcement that was made:We're experiencing connections problems in Malta, leading to some markets as well as internal systems being unavailable. We're working on getting everything back soon as possible, many apologies for the inconvenience. I didn't know Malta was a place in Belgium. There were no widespread internet issues in the entire country, you're servers were simply down.
Bladerunner Posted August 30, 2020 Author Posted August 30, 2020 Btw, before the website went down, there were already some troubles on the website. Depositing money didn't work for a whole while also...
Uni-Rep Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 The entire country was referring to Malta - and the issue wasn't limited to just Malta: https://edition.cnn.com/2020/08/30/tech/internet-outage-cloudflare/index.html Anyway, it doesn't really matter. I can't compensate you because you lost a bet - again, it didn't impact the outcome, and I honestly find your claim a bit absurd. Yes, you could have cashed out the bet, fired up the slots and won € 5.000.000. Anything could have happened, but playing that game doesn't really make sense. You could also have deposited more, and lost it, if the site was available - this is of course the most likely outcome, but we don't apply a negative premium to your account for that reason. I am really sorry about the issue and apologize again :) 2 Check the latest poker release notes. Have a look at our poker promotions.
