Abandoned Game

Hi,

Can you please give me an update on the outcome of Sydney Olympic - Sydney FC u21 played today 09/08/20. The game was abandened midway through due to unplayable pitch.

I have it as part of a double in which the other leg won and now my bet is in limbo as open but with no cashout option.

Will you be voiding this leg?

Hi @AG2525 and welcome to the community :)

Edit by Jeppe-Unibet: You're right @AG2525 , that was wrong information - apologies!  I'll put the correct rule here instead:

Rule B.5.4:

In case of an abandoned event, all bet offers that have been decided prior to the abandonment and
could not possibly be changed regardless of future events, will be settled according to the decided
outcome. Should the abandoned event not resume within 12 hours of its start time, all pending offers
related to the event will be settled as void.

You'll still get the other part of your bet out of course, but not until the match in question is settled as per these rules.

Well this isn't good enough Jeppe.

I was told this morning by the live chat that the individual leg would be voided if the game is not rescheduled within 12 hours. I would then be paid out on the other leg - This is acceptable and pretty much standard across all sites.

My bet remained open until half an hour ago when it was suddenly settled as a loss.

I contacted live chat again who couldn't tell me why it was settled like that. I asked them to again confirm your terms and they said the same as earlier, it's voided if not rescheduled within 12 hours.

So why has the bet been settled as a loss?

To clarify, my bet was on over 1.5 match goals. The game was abandoned at 0-0 due to heavy rain/unplayable pitch at 50 minutes. This can be confirmed on all statistic sites and the club's own social media posts: https://twitter.com/SydneyOlympicFC/status/1292375590998142977

It's shady tactics like this that lose customers. It's not the first time you've done similar to me and I gave you the benefit of the doubt. This time you've lost a customer for the sake of a £40 bet.

Hey @AG2525,

This is the latest update:

"Hi,
We are now looking into this and we'll get back to you as soon as possible."

Apologies for the wait, but lets be patient a little while more and I'm sure we will come to a good resolution. :)

@AG2525 It was settled as a loss by mistake, I apologize on behalf of our Sportsbook:

"Apologies, we have now unsettled the bet.

The match was abandoned due to weather condition. We are still waiting for the official update when this match will resume.

If the match does not resume until August 9, 21:04 CEST then all undetermined results will be settled as void/postponed."

I checked now and it's been voided since :)

/Jeppe
