Sign In Process

I couldn't find the original thread this was discussed in so I've made a new one :)

I still have issues with signing in to the community every day. The process goes as follows:-

  1. Click bookmark (https://www.unibetcommunity.com)
  2. Click green 'Sign in' button at top left of forum
  3. Redirect to Unibet.co.uk site
  4. Click on Unibet community link at top of page
  5. New tab opens with forum home
  6. Click 'sign in' button again
  7. Enter username and password
  8. Logged in

When I originally posted about it I was having trouble in Firefox but I now also get this in Chrome as well. Is there any way to get to log in first time without the redirect and a second tab opening?

Not sure if this is any help and your own solution might work better :smileytongue:, but... when you click the "sign in" button, do you get the language choice thingy, with the flags? I've noticed that if I click my flag I'm redirected to the Swedish site, but if I ignore that and just fill in the login details below the flags it's possible to log in directly. Or are you redirected to the co.uk site immediately when you click the sign in button? Btw, if I don't use the link from the main site I usually just type: www.unibetcommunity.com (without the https://) so that might be worth trying as well.

I get auto redirected to the .co.uk site, no flags. The link I posted doesn't work for me when I copy and pasted it to a second computer either.

Sorry to hear that you're still experiencing this, I know we've reported the issue earlier, but due to summer vacations and some structural changes within our development team, things have been going a bit slow on those reports - we'll try if we can't get a better update for you in the near future.

Does it happen every time you try and log in using Chrome as well, or just some of the time? I do like your work around a lot though, the page you have there is the one that's supposed to appear automatically in step 3 :)

Every time in Chrome, on two separate PC's, (Work and home).

 

I tried the link I posted when I got home yesterday and that didn't work either, it just took me the the .co.uk page.

Edit: Just tried signing out and clicking the link and it goes to the .co.uk page as well.

Do you still experience the same issue if you type in the community address directly into a fresh incognito/private window? I assume you've already tried clearing cookies/cache in all browsers and restarting the computer/s in between tries, but since you never even see the language settings/flags, but are redirected to the co.uk site immidiately anyway there seems to be some kind of setting and/or cookie left somewhere that automatically "senses" that you're from the UK and "thinks" that's the page you want to go to. It might be a long shot and I'm not even sure cookies are saved with bookmarks, but if you have the main unibet.co.uk site bookmarked on both computers it's possible that could be the culprit, so try removing it. Also check the settings in your firewall, antivirus software, adblocker etc. - if you use the same one/s on both computers. If I remember correctly I think someone solved a similar problem before by turning off their adblocker, so it could have something to do with that. I'm just grasping at straws here, but I hope you find a solution anyway. :)

I get this on my home PC but not my office PC, so it's not related to account.

I tried disabling ad blockers on both PCs and still had the same issue.

I changed my bookmark on my home PC to be unibet.co.uk and what happens now is that when I click on the Community link, I get a new tab, then hit sign in and get redirected back to unibet.co.uk and then when I hit Community again it opens another tab which I can then sign in from.

, , , I've just implemented what I believe might be a quick solution to this (or, can't really say it's quick, considering how long time it's taken). The fix is a temporary one, and we're still looking into a different and better sign-in, where you don't have to leave the community :)

Thanks. If you remove ?referrer=unibet.co.uk I doubt you'll experience the issue :)

As a temporary solution I've requested to get the referrer removed from the links to the community

Can you try and right click the sign in link, click "Copy shortcut" and paste the link here? - that's if you're using last version of IE, but guess Edge is pretty much the same.

Just to confirm, this is what happens:

  1. You go to the community
  2. Click "Sign In"
  3. You're sent to Unibet.co.uk instead of the community Sign in page on .com

?

Hi here's a step by step breakdown, hope it helps!

I visit this page: -

https://www.unibetcommunity.com

I click sign in. (this is the link i am redirected to https://www.unibet.com/community/login?referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.unibetcommunity.com%2F)

I am directed to this page
https://www.unibet.co.uk/

I log in to main unibet client.

I click the white unibet community option

The community loads again, but i'm still not signed in.

This time when I click sign in, I'm redirected to the community login

Then I enter my login details again.

Then I am taken back to the community and am logged in.

-----

If i log out and then log back in again, it works fine and doesn't take me to the main unibet website.

Once I've already been logged in and logout it seems to work intermitently sometimes if I click sign it, it takes me to unibet.com page sometimes to the community login. Always when i've been logged out for a while the error starts again.

----

If I remove this after login? it works fine on the first attempt
