Rio Showdown MTT Series

I have a question about the upcoming Rio Showdown MTT Serie. Because I don`t understand quite how those points are earned. I tried to read the rules, but got confused.... Here`s what it said: "How do I earn leaderboard points? The top 50% of finishers in each tournament will earn leaderboard points according to the following formula:  ( (Buy-in Multiplier x number of entrants) / finishing position ) x 30% (That was simple enough, well so I thought... But here is what I don`t understand) Example: You finish 10th in a €1 buy-in game and there are 200 entrants, you will earn points as follows: ( (0.5 x 200) / 10 ) x 30% = 3 leaderboard points  (Where does this 0,5 come from? Shouldn`t it be 1 as in €1 buyin?) You finish 10th in a €10 buy-in game and there are 100 entrants, you will earn points as follows: ( (3 x 100) / 10 ) x 30% = 10 leaderboard points (And here..Where does this 3 come from? Shouldn`t it be 10 like in a €10 buyin?)

With this rule they avoid the big gap i guess. So if you play 1-2 euros tournaments , like this you have better chance on leaderboard. This way more people can get involved with real chance.

buy-in:    1 euro            10 euro

x:             1  (0,5)           10 (3)

(if im wrong, correct me pls)

The formula uses a multiplier based on what buy-in the tourney was, not the buyin value itself. You can see the table when you open up the tourney schedule.

The €1 example is misleading because there are no €1 tourneys in the promo. This has been raised with David in the thread in the Poker section and should be updated to say €0 at some point.

Have you read my blog HERE... It's long isn't it :)
