I've just gone through on of those days we all get from time to time and want to forget about, just one long struggle. :annoyed:

The good news is I'm only 7 euros down for the day when it looked like I was never going to get back near level, so I'm still ahead of schedule but not by much. I need one of those other types of days tomorrow.

With having such a bad day I'd completely forgotton that it's exactly one year since I signed up with Unibet 😃 partly the reason for this challenge, so a double happy new year to everyone and may all your challenges succeed, in whatever you do. A bit cheesy I know but what else can you say?

hell yeah GIF

@GR1ZZL3R we are with you ! :popeye:

I have not been in the mood for a few weeks to run my challenge ...  i still have bankroll between 15-30e... but I am waiting for good vibrations... Maybe I'm a bit bored? :wonder:

We all go through it @pinki that's why I'm always looking for something to make it a bit different. To be honest the idea of sitting in front of the screen all day grinding away just doesn't appeal to me, so I'm waiting for the DIRT series to start, something to concentrate on, and I'm also working on a horseracing system which is plodding along steadily. Variety, not just the same old same old, although I'll always hang around the cash games. :atisfied:

New day new start. I was seriously thinking of doing an hour seeing as it's a fresh day, but being the thorough professional that I am, it's off to bed for a solid 8 hours and a fresh optimism in the morning. 🤣

Thanks to this very helpful course in Quackamatics.............

.........it turns out that yesterday wasn't quite as bad as it looked at first glance.

Before I fire up any tables I take a note of my poker balance, as there is no function to check total losses or wins, normally not a problem. If it's 10e higher after the session I've won 10e, 5e lower I've lost 5e. However yesterday, during the afternoon sessions I was also having some bets on the horses.

Of course these are not calculated in a seperate account, so finishing the poker session I just did a normal check and put the minus figure in my running total, gained some of the losses back last night and rounded off the day with a final figure, minus 7e. It was only this morning while inputting the losses on the horses to my spreadsheet that I suddenly realised I hadn't taken these into account on the poker page.Doing some checking, re-checking and advanced mathematical calculations I found a loss of £4.39 on the sports book, which equates to 4.87e in the poker bank, which due to me being an old gimmer and prone to mental lapses I hadn't included. The outcome is yesterday's poker loss was 2.13 and not 7e so the figures have been adjusted accordingly.

Sorry for the lapses and I promise to try to do better in future. :Happyshy:

Thanks for that @MetalWolf I've just played an hour and made 5.22 so it's a start. I don't know wether you experience this in tourneys but all week I seem to have made money on one table and lost on another, can't get a double winning run, and 50% of me is  and 50% :annoyed:. I suppose I ought to drop a losing table in that case or try another but at least I'm only half tilted. 🤣

Any suggestions @UAC @Esir

I just get all losing tables @GR1ZZL3R

🤣

I tend to find in tournaments if I go out in one when I'm deep then within a couple hands I'll be out them all. Haven't worked out if this is due to tilt yet lol

Cursing Unibet for making me play cash tables to complete these missions!

I know exactly what you mean @MetalWolf I can be sailing smoothly one minute and sunk the next, it all seems to kick off at once, but I only curse Unibet for making me play tourneys, especially when not in the mood.:annoyed:

There is no room for ego in poker so if a guy gives you a hard time at the table or makes you change your play in a bad way just leave. Plenty of tables to choose from.

But if you lost because of coolers or unlucky spots, nothing you can do.

Better to be lucky than good.

I haven't the heart for another cash session after my latest KO from the UK tour so will settle for 15.87 today made in three relatively short sessions, one of 5.28 made in 3 hands, and not wishing to push my luck beating a hasty retreat.🤣

Sorry @lakers but you're first out, would you like a 2e mtt ticket, expires in 11 days, as consolation.:Cash::Thumbsup::Smile:

It seems to be the same story every day, up on one table down on another. I played on two this morning, the same 5 on both tables with only one odd player, made 13e on one and lost 4 on the other.

On another thread I mentioned the guys that won't give up top pair no matter what pressure, and this is sort of that and slow playing a big pair as well.I raise, he 3 bets and I call.

1183376188_Screenshot(1505).thumb.png.001ece49269dddf2667f0b680a86be69.png

He checked the flop, so I bet and was called.

1405344309_Screenshot(1508).thumb.png.82f0f765e45543f792b9d54291fe2253.png

The turn gave me trips so I wasn't folding that, he checked again, I went all in and was called again.

1897992997_Screenshot(1509).thumb.png.5808c78a845556952d26735f7df2d2eb.png

If he had four bet pre-flop I would have folded, and if he had bet pot on the flop I may well have folded, but the checking kept me in the pot to his cost.

982847924_Screenshot(1510).thumb.png.a2e0d36af008b7ffa5060ffc5962aa3b.png

I suppose he had the nut flush draw on the turn but the river was ok.  Any thoughts anyone?:Wonder:

Thanks for the input @psrquack and @Silver1. I called the 3 bet as I had seen him turn up on the flop with some marginal holdings so it was a matter of feel. If I hadn't have been there long I would probably have folded AJ, often being dominated by AK or even AQ and of course KK or AA, less likely as I had an Ace. A lot of the time it is just "feel" and paying attention, something I don't always do but have been concentrating more on for this challenge.👍

Not very happy tonight after a good start to the day I was 16.00e up, but the last hour has been variance catching up with me.

All in with JJ called by QJ flopping the queen and all in KK called bt 10 9. What's going on? 10 9 on the flop and 2 buy ins down. Lost 25.31 in that session, leaving me 9.31 down on the day.:waterfall:

I know a lot of you sng and mtt grinders keep track of your figures, do the cash players do the same.:wonder: It's a bit of a bind without a hand counter, come on UB, and it's been suggested I multiply flops by 5, but as you can see I probably play a bit tighter than optimal so the figures would skew quite quickly. How often do you request updates and how comprehensive are the figures?  Compared with the likes of @Esir and @UAC I'm probably lagging a bit in numbers but I really am not a grinder and don't want to be now.

Nice winrate man, I plan on requesting results once per month other than that I just log my hours and profit/loss so far.

I'm playing 4 tables almost always and on other sites that equates to around 400-500 hands per hour.

So yeah, as of now I'm unsure of my winrate, will request results at the end of the month.

Two very short sessions today, the first losing 3.11 and the second a last effort to catch up or bust.

1830058671_Screenshot(1522).thumb.png.1b9ca51ec190ac6be86b29ce45f24ea7.png

Two folds round to me so a standard 3 x bb raise, one caller and a good flop. I checked the flop hoping for a bet but it was checked back.

1798922124_Screenshot(1523).thumb.png.6faf8970f6e04cb0c40c3442e13e1048.png

A nice turn but the funny thing is it didn't register as a full house, all I thought was he doesn't have AA from the way it was played so this pot is mine.

1185976469_Screenshot(1525).thumb.png.4aaaea7f98036217ddca71fa04335194.png

Bet slightly over the pot and he called. I didn't see my A until the pot was won, I was so fixated on the kings I just didn't see it. Does this ever happen to anyone else?

That put me just in front of the target and actually made profit for the day, so being the chicken I am I closed the session :Scared:  there's always tomorrow.
