psrquack Posted July 23, 2016 Share Posted July 23, 2016 Hey community,Here is my tennis pick for today:1, Steve Johnson- Ivo Karlovic (ATP-Washington, semi finals) 1 for 1.67Why Johnson?Heat: In the quarter-finals the temperature was around 37°C (47°C) on the playground and we can count with the same weather conditions for today. Yesterday Karlovic doesn't seemed fit in the second set and he was lucky that his opponent (Sock) made so many unenforced errors. If the match will go to the third set thriller I think Karlovic would not able to keep her mind fresh.One sided tactic: I think Johnson is a more complex player than the croatian. Karlovic way often tries to keep his serving game only and win a match in tie break.The H2H: Johsnon won 3 of the last 4 games against Karlovic on hardcourt.The experience: Johnson beat a great server in the previous round(John Isner) so he knows how to handle the big serves.What I still expekt: a tie break.
