Double withdrawal?

When I check my bank-account today in the netbank, it showed up a transaction at 100,-NOK. Registered 8.september (today), but I have not used my Visa Debet card today. And I asked my bank in the chat what it is, but they couldn`t see what it was..

The same happened some weeks ago too. And at Unibet Norway they have a new deposit-system now. Something called "VISA/MC by Hipay", so now you have to fill in much more than when I have my card saved and just filled in the 3 digits on the back of the card. And it take much more longer time before the transaction is done. And in the netbank it comes up as "Ts intern Opti" instead of "payrcard" (not Paycard) as it was earlier.

So I just wonder, maybe Unibet Norway have double the transaction after the new pay-system, but I just got my 100,-NOK in my balance, even they have made 2 withdrawal from my card? Anyone of the moderators @JeppeL or @RayL who knows anything about it?

Hi @steppek77, indeed there was a change in the payment providers in Norway recently. This change was necessary for multiple reasons, but I understand that it might be an extra hassle to get used to a new depositing system. In it's essence it's the same as you are still able to use the same methods, but the channels that the funds flow through changed and have a more reliable security setup. " Hipay" is the provider that gets the money from your visa to your Unibet account essentially.
Could you send us a copy of your bank statement highlighting the deposit that is missing or that you think that was debited twice? I'll be happy to bring it to the attention of the "Payments" department for them to advise us on what happened.
I'll need to ask for a clarification on "I asked my bank in the chat what it is, but they couldn`t see what it was..". Was your bank not able to advise you wether you deposited to Unibet or not that 100 NOK?

That is correct. And they said I have too wait to see what it says about the 100,-NOK transaction. (Where it comes from and what it is) But I checked the bank today again and it still the same "VISA purchases reserved transaction". I am sorry that i can not give you more details, @RayL.  So far.

P.S. I often deposit only 100,-NOK, so I have no clue which of them are debited twice. If that is the reason about the 100,-NOK transaction.

@RayL

Today it is a new payment for VISA again!!!

Now it is only Mastercard by Hipay.. About VISA it says it is new and they use something call "upprepays".. When I deposited with my Visa-card now I had to fill in all the details on my card again.. Pretty annoying!

What was wrong with the old system? To me it was perfect and no trouble at all with it. So why change it  :speechless:

I wouldn't know exactly unfortunately, I know these changes are mostly done for security and regulation reasons. When a channel of payment is changed the above 2 are the reasons most of the time, but apologies for the hassle nonetheless. Back to your "reserved transaction", I remember a case like yours in the past, in which the deposit looked like it was double debited but in reality an error happened somewhere and the deposit didn't leave the bank, it's literally stuck in their system. However it's too early to say for sure just yet. In order to confirm this for sure we would need a "Proof of reservation" (essentially a bank statement showing the reserved amount) and an e-mail address of the bank representative. we will contact them personally to unblock the reserved amount. Send it to contact@unibetcommunity.com and give me a heads up when done. I'll see to it so it gets done. :)

Hi, @RayL!

Just want to tell you that I got a message in my mailbox today. Between 15. and 24. July they have some technical problems because of the new deposit system. So I have got my withdrawals registered on my bank-account some weeks after I deposited.

I am sorry that I have bother with this "problem". Usj.
