wyff
Hi,I had a bet on whether VAR would come in play in this match. On (at least) 2 occations the commentators noted that «VAR check is over». However, I can’t seem to find the statistics for this on FIFA’s official site. Still, my bet has been ruled as lost. Please help me out here. Thanks

Thanks Hello @wyff and welcome to the community, The only way for your bet to be settled as "won" is if there has been any clear gestures from the referee ( that TV sign gesture ) and if he stoped the play to review the incident. I can't recall anything like that happening in yesterday's match, but i might be wrong .From Unibet T&C :"In order to avoid any doubts, Unibet will consider the VAR as having been used if it is understood from the referee's gestures (ex.hand gestures, stopping the match to review the incident themselves), and/or the VAR usage is confirmed by the match report issued by the official organization. In cases where it is unclear whether the VAR has been used due to missing TV coverage and/or conflicting reports, Unibet will settle the bets based on the information acquired from feed providers and generally reputable online sources on the basis of equity." wyff
He clearly stopped the play and waited for the VAR team to rule this. When ruling was done, he let the game continue. I can’t see how this is interpreted as VAR not being used....?
BonusPater
@wyff, all information I can find says VAR was used once, and that was in the 56th minute. Not much to go by from FIFA, but their live blog only mentions VAR once.If you remember when it should have been in use, I'm happy to check a match replay for you :)
wyff
Thanks alot! That’s all I needed - a confirmation that VAR was used. Is this the official match report?

JeppeL
Hi @wyff and welcome to the community!I checked the bet description and though it shows for me in English, it says that the bet is for the referee to conduct a pitch side video review - meaning the ref would have had to go the monitor himself. It appears the bet is settled correctly as lost unfortunately, but do let me know if there's been a bad description of the bet in your local language and we'll look into it./Jeppe Former Community Manager
