Sports we were hoping would perform better than it's been the case, but the product team engagement ultimately was decisive. The poker team were extremely engaged from day 1 and the guys had a headstart with Twitch. Now it's a huge task to change this, and I don't think the sports team got the necessary resources, which is a big shame, as there's heaps of potential in UAT testing and more customer involvement in the product development. 1 Check the latest poker release notes. I'm pretty sure I will be forced to close my current account and open a new one in local currency if Unibet will gain the licence. The big question is will Unibet battle for the licence and will gain it at the end? My big investigation (some minutes of searching) says there is no information about it. I have tried asking here, visiting Kindred homepage, surfed through 2 local forums and there isn't any official statement that Unibet got the licence, applied to the licence and will continue operating here after the 1st of January. This means hard times will come after tomorrow. Government could easily cut down acces to Unibet for players from here from Monday, saying the curcumstances of operating are clear and if operator's don't follow the rules they should find their luck elsewhere. Operators won't offer alernative links to players (like gamblingoperator2.com) like they did in the past, because in the past it was not any option to legally operate here. This will be changing from tomorrow. So, if access to Unibet will be cut for me, then I will lose some tickets to Supernova (worth less to €2) and some time till the licence become alive. But how long will it be? If Unibet already made and apply for the licence I expect a month or so. If not then 1-3 months at least. Because nobody won't be illegal during the application period there is a big chance service will cut down for that period, like a goodwill gesture from the operators side. I don't know what was the reason, but Party/bwin suddenly closed the betting service for this country some days ago. Fun fact, that poker remained. Obviously they are other things what will be change form the 1st of January. You can't make a deposit from cards they are out of the legislation and acceptance of the Local National Bank. This means you can't make a withdrawal too. So if you have a Revolut or Wise card or your foreign bank account are not on the list, you won't be able to use them for the local market's gambling sites. Long story short: I except a grey zone for some time (hopefully this will be a short period), with a high chance of unable services and a must to convert my account's currency to local one. This means another verification process which could last from 2 weeks to month too. Shortcut: not using any card to deposit/or no deposit at all will shorten the way. Just a huntch based on how regulated our Veikkaus is (no bonuses, freebies, rakeback) and how our moral posers make laws that ain't made to benefit majority but protect minority. Not just empty bonus section but absolutely no offers in promo zone for casino or sports for whole year and we are already two weeks into it. The main question is Unibet is a betting company with small poker revenue or a poker company with a small betting revenue. If the first, then they will get the licence but maybe they will close the poker section. If second is true then poker will be available without licencing troubles but betting will be terminated.
