Withdrawal on hold

Hi,

I made a withdrawal a few days ago and after checking my account it says its on hold again, and that I should have received an email.  I don't feel like waiting around to see if I get on or not (i didn't last time) so could you please check it for me again Jeppe?

It was the first time i've used bank transfer as a method of withdrawal, as the card I last deposited with is no longer in use, so perhaps thats the hold up, but if you need anything from me to hurry it along I'll happily provide it ASAP.

Cheers

George

@Geo123 The withdrawal created was by bank transfer and while we wouldn't mind paying out as such, we have to stick to our "closed loop" policy and ask that you please do the withdrawal using the credit card option. That was the only thing holding the withdrawal back, I've had it reversed so you can create the withdrawal again - sorry for the inconvenience, but happy to report that we're not requesting documents :)

@JeppeL  Thanks for looking into that. Only problem would be that the card I used to deposit originally was lost and I had to get a new one, so I think the withdrawal would fail if I withdrew to that credit card.

Would a solution be to make a small deposit on my new card and then withdraw to that one?

@Geo123 Thanks yourself for the quick response! What we'll have to do in a situation like this is a so called "Proof of Ownership" - meaning that we have to ask per regulations and account security procedure, that you send in proof that the old card is no longer active and that it was yours. Usually I've seen this done in one of two ways:

  1. In some online banking systems, the information of past cards and their status is available. A screenshot of this, along with your full name being available on the screenshot as well will work.
  2. You can go to your bank and ask them to write, sign and stamp a small document, stating that card xxx is no longer in use and that it belonged to person xxx.

When you get one of the two, you can go ahead and send directly to me on contact@unibetcommunity.com while tagging me here, I'll then make sure to pass it along to the relevant department right away :)

@Geo123 A shame yes, but your bank should be able to help you, though we have seen one case here recently where a member said his bank insisted they wouldn't meet this request. I know other members have had it done though and I have myself as well, if they question the request, I'd refer to it being common sense that since you've used the card for various purchases online, it must be expected that in some instances you would have to prove ownership of your card(had you had your card still, that would've been as easy as sending in a picture of it). Also, you're one of their customers and they hold your money, asking for a small document to be made which'll only take about 5 minutes is indeed a very small request, no matter if it's something they normally do or not.

Hope it helps, feel free to let us know if anything.

Hey @Geo123,

Unfortunately a picture of the card will not suffice in this case, as you mentioned the card is lost and replaced with a new one. (Is it safe to assume that the card is reported as lost/stolen?)

As @JeppeL previously mentioned, we'll need the following:

"You can go to your bank and ask them to write, sign and stamp a small document, stating that card xxx is no longer in use and that it belonged to person xxx."

The bank should indeed comply with this request, as it's not an uncommon one, and I've seen multiple of these documents myself.

Please let us know if you have any troubles with this and we'll be happy to assist further. :)
