Add-on problem Multiverse

Hi @MarcoV, @JeppeL, @Leo-Unibet, @David-Unibet

I just played the 500€ multiverse (that started on 23:30 CEST) and I late-registered it on level 8, which was the last level before closing registration but it's also the level where you can take an add-on.

So when I entered the tournament, the add-on period was running but because of a bug(?) I didn't get the chance to add-on and I think neither did my opponents because none of them added on which seemed really strange that not even 1 player would take an add-on. Instead I got the following on my screen (while the other tables were getting the chance to add-on since I saw afterwards that there were 23 add-ons.)

 

Really frustrating ofc since I was planning to add-on because you get double the amount of chips. Now I only bought in for half price I normally would play but for only 1/3 of a stack so obv shooting myself a bit in the foot because of this. I don't want to claim a refund or anything but I'd rather like to see this changed. Because I think the problem lies in the fact that the add-on period already is running while late registration is still open. I've played this tournament a couple of times (also late-registering) and sometimes it tends to load a bit slow and then suddenly you get the add-on bar popped out with not that many time left so it's always a little shock to not miss out on the add-on.

I even think if you late register in the last seconds of the MTT, you barely have a chance of adding on, maybe the add-on period is even closed by then since the add-on period isn't too long but not sure.

So in my opinion it would be much, much better if the add-on period would start after registration is closed. Would be way more efficient and you wouldn't get situations like the one my table ended up in tonight where the table is loading and saying that the tournament will start shortly whilst the add-on period is running. And then when the table finally was loaded and the cards were being dealt, the add-on period was over.

Hopefully this can be prevented in the future.

@@BroederTuc Thanks for pointing this out !! The issue can occure when the addon period kickes in during the normal simultanious break that starts 55 min past full hour. This will be fixed soon in upcoming releases, meanwhile I creating a quick fix by moving the addon period to start after the regular break.

Hmm, but the addon period wasn't during the normal 55 min break, I think it was somewhere around 0:10 CEST so there wasn't really an overlap between the addon period and the normal break at 55 min.

I really think the problem was/is that we got seated when the addon period was running and that we had to wait to "start the tournament" (as stated in screen shot) until the addon period was finished. Just like you sometimes have to wait for a hand at another table to be ended before you get seated or get your hand hand dealt.

So in my opinion it would be better to move the addon period to just a few minutes later so that everyone can be sure of not missing out on the addon.

I just had the same thing happening again to me like a couple of weeks ago. Again I late registered rebuy tournaments (Spectrum and Cosmic Rays) with a few minutes to go, both MTT's late registration stops at the same time. In the Spectrum I instantly got the add-on bar popping up so apparently the add-on period was already running and in the Cosmic Rays I had the notification "Tournament will start shortly". (as seen in screen shots below)

 

When I saw that I knew immediatly that the same thing was happening again as before, namely that I late register a rebuy (+add-on) MTT that has already having its addon period running and because of it has some difficulties to load the table (or the add-on pop up bar) properly.

This is really frustrating and I can't understand why this isn't getting fixed. It seems so easy to fix though, why not delay the add-on period until late registration period is closed? That way I won't ever have the add-on bar missing since it's obviously some bug that occurs when getting seated and having the add-on period at the same time. 

Now I always have to guess when I want to jump in late in a rebuy MTT: "Am I going to get a chance to add-on or not?" and that really shouldn't be the case. Obviously don't need to tell how handicapped I am if I'm not being able to add-on.

So please, please push the add-on period to a few minutes later, when registration is already closed so these problems don't occur anymore.
