Unibets support is very bad today

What I'm going to write here is purely based on speculation towards the situation and it definately might not have to do with anything regarding the situation with Unibet. I will write this mostly from the insight of what it is to like to work in a support on a foreign country in such situations.

In this situation if I would experience this I'd speculate a problem with human resources as the most common problem. That can happen when a company makes changes in their systems and the changes provided create even more queue and the transition time between systems gets extended in sharing the knowledge / know how. I also know that sometimes with specific countries in general especially when the call centres are located outside of your own country - when you're getting shorthanded in work when someone or even a few people leave it can create a really bad scenario for quite a while. It's a problem that likes to escalate and feed on itself and at that point I hope that no one ever blames the support agents for a bad service. Because it really never is their fault and they are doing the best they can do get the e-mails, chats and calls completed.

Call center work in support is at best very rewarding, but at worst it drains your energy really fast, especially if those situations last for a long time, sometimes even months.

I've done that job for  ~4 ½ years in a couple of different companies during the years 2010 - 2015 so I'm just asking to not blast it out to the support agents if you finally get in contact. Not that I'd expect you to, but just wanted to share it. It's rarely the fault of a support agent for things to take time but more of the case for HR & mismatches resources due to savings in company policy or just counting resources too tightly. Hopefully you get your problem solved fast.

Sometimes just staying positive & patient solves many problems. :)

Ps. If Unibet ever needs help in FI/ENG support or job similar I might be willing to move my a** to Malta for a couple of years+. Depending on the salaries, targets and all that kinds of things. ;D

Thanks @Livertool

Malta would at least be a very tempting place to work in. As a finn you would propably melt during the daytime, but the warm evenings and nights are something you would want to experience in social life. Some good extended late night dinners and nice atmosphere is what I always miss from abroad when being in Finland, it's actually the main reason to get out of Finland.

It has a lower taxation than Finland so the lower salary is compensated there even though the cost of living is not considerably different afaik, at least not according to numbeo.com. The real question for me is the job itself. Having experienced both worlds of a customer service it is something to think about do you want to get back to that. If all is well then it's a scenario you could see yourself working for several years even. In the current state the world is in the question regarding security must be raised as well.

I actually was in contact with another big gambling company in 2012 regarding the process of starting a recruitment. I had to deny that vacancy as I had just accepted a job in an ICT-support here in Finland coming back from Sweden after a 19 months of working there. But would've definately preferred that experience now in hindsight. :)

Nice to hear that there are others who have experience of that field of job or are considering it!

Hey @DepchZ

Feel free to PM me if you seriously have any questions about anything really. I'd be happy to answer. :)

As a Finn who has lived and worked here for a year now, I can give you some insight and some pros and cons of living and working here.

Have a good one!
