Someone tried to withdraw too much money from my account, and now I'm blocked?

Weeks ago, someone tried to withdraw money from my Unibet account to a Neteller account. (I don't have a Neteller account).
I used a pretty weak password (easy to remember, stupid I know) because I use 2 computers at home and my phone to play on my Unibet account.

The amount he tried to withdraw did not exsist in my Unibet account, it was too much!

How was he even able to try to withdraw too much money in the first place? I have waited a really long time to get my account active again.
I have told you that I didn't try to withdraw it. Trying to contact Neteller (which didn't provide any help). I have sent you verification documents, which I think I already done before.

What can I do more?

Sorry to hear that @Obelix, though I'm happy that security procedures, set in place for protection of accounts, blocked the withdrawal attempt and the money never left Unibet.
The procedure we have to follow is, that a phone call is needed where we ask some security questions, along with a request of documents to prove identity and address. We follow this procedure as we have to do our best to make sure, that the person in contact with us about re-opening the account is in fact the correct person and not an identity thief.
I hope this makes sense and ask for your patience, as the case has now been forwarded to a very specific Player Safety team that handle these situations. This type of case is never forwarded until we have both the requested documents and the phone call is completed, which from my understanding happened yesterday. The team in question is quite busy at the moment, once again I hope for your understanding and patience, but do feel free to let us know if you have any questions or comments.

If you don't mind, one thing I'm qurious about and could help us do better when these situations happen: What was the reason that documents were uploaded at the end of last month, but the phone call wasn't completed until yesterday?

About the documents. I think I spoke to the livechat and they asked me to upload photos of my ID or maybe I just saw the notification "Verify your account" and uploaded my documents.

I cant really remember, I thought I had already done that before. However, the Neteller account is not mine. But I guess the Police will contact Neteller and you guys too and hopefully this mess will be over sooner or later.

Yeah, the reason I was stupid and chose a simple old password was that I use my Unibet account on 2 computers at home and my phone. :/

Otherwise I use unique passwords and a password manager to handle all password with Two-factor authentication.
