the instructions couldn't have possibally been any clearer.... there was even a banner across the community home page, short of Unibet arriving at your home and knocking on your door and telling you there is a freeroll tonight, and handing you a ticket, not sure what more else you can expect to be done to help you get entry into it!

Like OP said; not everyone is here every day just for the sake of it. How many days before the banner was posted? I might have week not visiting.

There are easily thought intermediate steps between banner on forum and UB representative coming to see me personally. The client can have banners too, there is a mailbox in it and UB has my email address.

I think the point kind of is the reward active community members (the community forum unibetcommunity), but maybe an e-mail with some big events sent out to community members might be nice, maybe even a sort of newsletter with things of interest with links to certain threads.

I agree i think it should be for active community members, im not that active but i view the forum every other day and post every now and then.

Kinda defeats the purpose to have the toury and then have a load of random/newbies sign up for it.

Also i think you should have to use your forum alias so people know who is who

just my 2 cents 😃

?????????????????????

I think it is good for the Community that we get new members. Because how can you reach 7500 members and Unibet Community will maybe  celebrate with a freeroll again, if you don`t want new members?

If every community tournaments was open to everyone, I'd agree with you. However, I think less than a third of the tournaments are open for everyone to join. It's about finding a balance where you acquire new members but also reward the existing ones.

Yes, but the new Community.-members can also be new at Unibet, so why not let them join the freerolls?

It comes new members all the time, so how can you distinguish "old" existing ones and "new" existing ones?

There are more than enough opened-for-everyone community tournaments. There are plenty freerolls on unibet where anybody can play, IMO community tournaments should be a little private. I mean when i go to the casino with my friends, i wanna play with them, and not the monkey who ask the bartender, hey gimme ma beer!! Or gimme tikit...

The superuser freerolls been the best.

Appreciate the feedback, we wanted to keep the freeroll open for all community members, old and new alike. But you're right it's not the best when people are only signing up on Unibet to join the freeroll, so we did a bit to balance it by closing off the registration a while before the tournament starting, we actually ended up denying a fair amount of players access through this.
In general, it's always a balance how mamy of these should be closed for already active members vs open ones attracting new members, and overall I think we keep it fair on both sides :)

Some ideas for the freeroll:

bounty only available for active members,

2 freerolls with the same value, oldies entry for 2 newbies for 1,

balanced starter chips,

rebuy option for active member (2 tickets),

addon for active members(if they survive).
