Credit for this one goes to @wwaanneess, picked up the information here :)

From David, Head of Poker:

MTT promo will be Bounty Badlands, a repeat of the promo from April. The page hasn't been fully updated yet but prizes and earning points will be same as here: https://www.unibet.com/promotions/po...-badlands-2017

High Stakes Race will continue through August.

The page for the Mission isn't up yet but the prizes will be:

Step 1: 50 bonus points
Step 2: 50 bonus points
Step 3: €1,000 GTD freeroll ticket
Step 4: 200 bonus points
Step 5: €3,000 GTD freeroll ticket

We're also planning a weekly Twitch raffle promo to give away some Vegas packages but I'll wait for clarification on that before sharing more details.

Doubt it @FreedoM, unless we get the same sentiment from a bunch of players. Until then, the Poker team has set the criteria how they see it being best for most possible players and according to previous feedback :)

Okay.. As I can see many people don't like these freerolls. I don't like them too and they don't encourage me to complete the missions. My suggestions: 1. Make these freerolls faster structure (1 min levels is always fun to play) 2. Get rid of the freerolls and give something like mtt qualifier tickets or just bonus shop points

You misunderstood, people like the freeroll's, we don't like that the missions are so easy to complete and there are to many people in them, like 500+.

I don't agree that the missions should be harder so that less people make the freerolls. If you make the requirements harder to eliminate people, the people who aren't going to make it are:

  • people with micro-bankrolls who aren't able to complete enough orbits on 4NL or play enough SNGs/MTTs to complete the requirements
  • people who are mainly on Unibet for sports betting or casino and who just occasionally come to the poker site. They'll lose their motivation to complete the missions if they get too demanding

It's exactly those two groups that the missions should be targetting. I love the bigger-than-rake rakeback the missions provide to people with a micro-bankroll, and think it should stay that way.

As @MathrimC says.

Everyone should be able to profit from these promo's. These monthly challenges are made for small players to get something going.

But, with these freerolls I don't feel like that happens. Giving everyone qualifier tickets for SE or SS instead would be way more fun and you can chose when to play. (Certainly because there is only one day to play each monthly xk GTD tourney. Which I miss most of the times)

I had this exact same feeling with the last moving on up. I played PLO and won myself a ticket for the 1k PLO flip (250 tickets were given away.) 10 people didn't get anything... And I was one of them. This kind of stuff is really sad. Or make it either 250 first to reg get the ticket... Or give everyone something (even if all prizes would be lower.)

So. TLDNR: Make something where everyone gets a reward for their activities. (Okay if you make level 4 and 5 a bit harder so a bit less players get it)

I see now that the circumstances of ones birth are irrelevant... It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.

Hard to say if this is actually better from a 'poker ecological' standpoint for rec/losing players than the old format of the missions. I don't really think so, but I understand why  Unibet is taking this route.  I sometimes have the feeling some of you guys tend to forget that Unibet's purpose is not to provide maxEV for ambitious small stakes grinders who hardly ever deposit anyway, but to make money as a company. I mean someone mentioned January of this year, where they gave away 18€ value in Pts/tickets  if you completed all 5 missions. Sure I'd prefer this as well obviously, but simply compare it to this month rewards: 3€ in pts, and ~6,50€ per player in freeroll value. That's cutting almost 50% costs for Unibet, plus Bonus points have the benefitial effect that it encourages players to remain with Unibet and amass more points in order to convert it into a more benefitial Bonus let's say.

So unless the number of completed missions goes down significantly thus showing costumers are not anymore encouraged to play more/certain games to complete the missions, I see no reason why Unibet should change their marketing strategy on this.

The valid criticism, in my opinion, is that the structures of these freerolls are TOO DEEP.  I won't play one if it looks to take longer than 2 hours to final table.  I do not care if there are 200 players or 2000, as long as it does not take too long to complete.

Freerolls should be quick, painless, and reward "fun" play not the grinder who thinks he's at the final table of the WSOP and is firing up his ICM calculator for each decision.

I totally disagree with @unibetslowplay, the tournaments at the end are ment to earn something if you are good and they are not meant to become some bingo hyper turbo tournaments.

You obviously didn't play on PokerStars, where trny lasts even 12 hours.

Unibet, make the 3000k gtd trny a bit harder to get the ticket

It's not enjoyable to grind for 3 hours and finish outside the money in these freerolls. Structure is way too deep and slow and that doesn't benefit recs too. And why do they start 1 hour apart?

How on earth is the structure way too deep and slow when a tournament with 500+ players only lasts 3-4 hours? It’s actually quite fast and recs have a decent chance to win some money since the play is almost always very shallow and push/fold oriented.

I reached the final table in last month’s €3k, so I know what I’m talking about. 😉

I absolutely hate the freerolls as they take up valuable time that I could better spend playing other tournies. I'd personally rather pick up the average value in qualifier tickets, bonus points etc. but I understand that they're designed to get people playing the games and for that reason they seem to be a sensible way of engaging people. I think the types of recs the company want to appeal to may prefer a faster format though.

I don't like the current mission freerolls either.

Here is my idea, instead of having one 3000GTD tournament, split it into two 1500GTD tournaments. (and same with 1000GTD)

One of them in same format as the current, and the other one all-in flip tournament (with registration opened one week before), both tournaments starting at same time, everyone getting only 1 ticket so each would have to choose which tournament to participate.

Effects:

- cost for Unibet still the same

- those who want to play the tournament can play the tournament similar to current one, and with less players as most seem to want

- those who don't like the long tournament can register to flip bingo tournament and still get some value for their mission ticket without spending 2-3 hours

- those who can't play/login at designated day can still register days before to the flip-tournament and still get some value for their mission ticket. Unlike now when you just lose out if you can't play at that one particular time.

I don't agree with @vaisto at all.
I enjoy more,  playing for 500€ first prize one normal trny, than playing 4x for 50 or 100€ first prize some bingo tournaments.
Or u are satisfied with 1€ ot 0,67€ prize , when you're into the money...
