Hello Players! It has been over a week since the last update. Great news again. After playing another 31 games of the 50€ level, I'm ready to take the first two 100€ SNGs for my challenge. The games went crazy this time. It was a plaque of bubbles at first, even though I felt I played quite well after making a few adjustments to this level, I was surprised once again with the imagination some players had making their great calls 3-handed.
Then, being just a step away from the next level, I was cursed in HUs, and couldn't have closed it at all. No matter what I did, I finished every HU as a runner up. But finally I got lucky and made it through. Hope to play my first two bullets this evening. Please keep your fingers crossed for me and join me at tables. GL Players, Best Regards!

Apart from the challenge, yesterday I decided to take my chances in the first ever "Supernova" tournament.
As I failed to win a seat in any satellite throughout the last week, and I didn't want to miss this first one,
I had to buy in directly, but it paid off. I got lucky and took the 12th out of 188 players, and got 500€ for that.
I think this is going to be an interesting Sunday Major Tourney, even more than Entitled, but the qualifiers system should get changed a bit. It's really hard to be 1/20 in a 5€ sat, not counting the rake even. Step system would work much better in my opinion, so 25€ sats should be added at least. Still, I'm hoping to qualify for the next one and see you all on Sunday ;-) GL

Great results. I’ve played you a lot at the 50s the last week or two. So you’ve gotta win €1000 only from the 100s now? Good luck with that, I always sit them, most nights zero games run. That’ll prob improve a bit if you’re sitting them too, but you’re in for a lot of quiet time, just a heads up.

Hello Players! This week I played the first 100€ games for my challenge, and it was a great start. Although played only 6 SNGs, either no time for poker, or no opponents, I cashed 4 times, and won twice. Worked out a profit of 370€, which is over +0.5BI/game. I think it's going well then 😛 To be honest I ran like hell,
and the first one just shouldn't have slipped away,  as I started the HU as a massive chipleader. No time to regret though, hope this will be a quick road to finish the level, and the whole challenge as well.
Yes @monkeyheaven, I only have to make 10BIs here. Probably the traffic didn't improve as much as you wished, but hope you liked the games as well 😃 GL Man. Wish me luck in the next ones, GL Players!

P.S. I also binked the Supernova ticket in the first sat I played this week, so this might be a compensation for the previous week multiple failures 😏 Unfortunately, it went for nothing, cause I got busted far away from the money. At first it went great, I sat at 35k stack with app. 60BB. Then involved in a weird spot flatting my QQ on 8BB shove, and called a reship for my whole stack almost, he displayed AKo and I lost. After that I didn't recover to a healty stack no more, loosing all the chips in a SB vs BB spot. To sweaten it up, I only mincashed the Ice Giant for +2BI. Looking forward for the next Sunday,  perhaps a better one 👍 GL ALL

Hello Players! Since the last update I played 18 SNGs and made a small profit of app. 1.5BI. Not much, but still it's a step forward. It's really hard to get into a flow with these games, cause you have to wait a plenty of time
for them to start. The day 51. was fun though, cause the traffic improved much thanks to @BenjaminVoyage a.k.a. Estonian Jesus who decided to play some of these on his stream. Best Regards Man, hopefuly we'll do it again sometime. This friday I'm going to Brighton, probably won't have a chance to finish my challenge before that, but you never know. Wish me luck both on challenge and the live tournament.
I'm sure I will have much fun over there. GL ALL and see you at tables!

P.S. Just a few minutes ago I binked 500€ Fireball, which is if I'm correct my first won tournament of the new schedule, it took me a while 😛 I like the new tourneys, although I would like to have more 9-handed ones in the schedule. The Abyss seems to be interesting one in time, but it will be hard to compete with @MathrimC, who is a member of FT club in this one 😃 Hope to get back to my own schedule soon 😛 GL ALL

@MetalWolf, thanks for the support for me and other community guys, you still have plenty of time to show up here tomorrow at 4pm 😛 I've just made it to the Final Day packing up 31,1k not much but still. I think i had 75-80k at peak, but one unsuccesful bluff destroyed my stack 😃 happens, Got another bullet for tomorrow, so I'll get some sleep and try to build up a better stack. GL

What an awesome thread. Inspired me to start my own challenge. May well have to start at the €5 with €50 though.

Playing on unibet and finding some of the threads in this community has really given me the itch to play poker again after a few years off.

I used to play husng on stars, but I'm thinking of giving the 5 mans a go this time.

Very well done in your results so far man.

Hello Players!
I would like to thank all of you guys who I met in Brighton last weekend and had so much fun with. It was a pleasure to see all the familiar faces again: @DaVitsche and Satu, @FeelsBadMan, @MathrimC, Hensie, Estonian Jesus aka @BenjaminVoyage (congrats for your 7th place) , @IanSimpson, @Darkangel7; and to meet some community members I haven't known before: @ChapInAChair, @d-Bergie, @Raegar, and others. I also met a few Polish guys for the first time, congrats to Robert Dymek for his 6th place finish. Best Regards to all of you guys, and thank you Unibet for the another amazing Live Event.

For me the Main Event wasn't so successful this time  I came to Brighton on Friday, maybe one hour before the start of the tournament, and was seated at one table with the locals and Hensie to my left. I did't have to wait longer than 15min for my weariness to reveal. Trying to level up with Hensie, and gain some advantage I made I huge mistake and left myself with 7k out of 25k staring stack. Cold shower. Until the first break I had my stack back almost, but the rest of the day seemed to be nothing else but a roller coaster, and it was. I had 75-80K at best, but survived the 1A with 31K, and decided to take a second shot on Saturday.
The 1B started for me great regarding my holdings, I was dealt AA, KK, and JJ, but all of them was nothing but coolers for me. AA and KK came across sets and my JJ got 4bet pre, and forced to fold to the river bet. I was really lucky not to bust on these, and survived until I rivered a straight flush and got a full value of the nut flush. Then took a couple of nice pots and thought the fate was about to turn around :atisfied: But it wasn't again. At some point I shoved my short stack with ATs and got into JJ, and the Saturday ended up.
The day2 on Sunday went even quicker. My 31k was only 13BBs at the start, I got through with 2shoves but got snapped with the 3rd one. My 44 was in a bad shape against TT. I finished in 64th place out of 316 entries and 32 to pay, if I'm right.
To sweaten it up I took my chances in the Community freeroll. I had a great time with the guys in this one. Thanks to the dealer (@d-Bergie) I took the 4th place and won some online tickets.
Next we all decided to jump into the £37 side tourney and were seated mostly at one table. Great time again.
I eventually busted after involving in a couple of weird spots against some crazy Scandinavian players :Cheeky: and a local granpa who ran like hell
I even don't know if any of the Community guys got any descent place in it, but for me the adventure was over.
Got home with my head full of ideas how I should improve as a player and what to write in my poker story next. I hope it will all work out.
Wish me luck everyone, so we could see each other soon at one Unibet Live. Thanks again, GL ALL.

Today I played 2games for my challenge. If I won the second HU the whole challenge would be over. Now I have only 0.5BI to go, so if I cash the next one it's enough. Couldn't have run more games today so I have to wait till tomorrow. Wish me GL, See you at tables!

Hello Players! I was hoping that this would be the last update of my challenge, but I was wrong :annoyed: Needed only min cash to close it all but lost 4 games in a row 😏 I was probably playing badly, but also felt that the variance didn't spoil me at all, not only in SNGs, but also in MTTs. Every crucial spot was lost.
The table has turned a bit as I had two week savers. I won the Abyss and a UK Tour Final for my second package, in only 3hands to my surprise 😛
Tomorrow I have the last chance to qualify for Bucharest. Wish me luck. Hope the things go well
with my challenge too. See you all at tables. GL

Hello Players! Great news, I've completed the challenge. Yesterday, @IanSimpson played the SNGs on his stream, I joined and won two games. It was enough. This time the variance was certainly on my side. The first HU was against Ian himself  we stacked off a set against top 2. I found myself on the right side of the cooler, it was fun to play with you Ian :Cheeky: GL Man. After winning two games, I registered another one*, unaware of I'd finished already. So if anyone was missing this result, there it is. It still doesn't count towards the challenge. I should make the summary soon.
@monkeyheaven, maybe you're right, I definitely should play more SNGs, but I just can't resist playing MTTs.
Just wondering which group you put me in, "have some obvious leaks" or "I haven’t seen do anything really stupid yet"  Man, I just know I'm not the King of the world, but certainly found these games softer than I expected. I assumed to work on the SNGs more as I moved up, but then strange things happened here :Wonder: I will be more than grateful if you tell me my biggest leaks, as we are no more a competition to each other :Veryhappy:To be honest, I will probably add some 10-50€ SNGs to my session, just to subdue the variance, but I've never been a fan of mixing SNGs and MTTs. Fundamentally different level of focus for me.
What next? I've been thinking of a similar challenge on HU SNGs, we'll just see in the next few days.
Meanwhile, many thanks for everyone who supported me during the challenge, I really appreciate it.
GL All and see you at tables.

Congrats.  Would be interesting to see a results summary from the challenge if you ever get the time.  I just had a quick scan of  your 50+ results, 25% ROI over about 80 games, either you got on the right side of variance or you shouldn’t bother wasting your time with mtts anymore.

If I had anything on you, can’t give that info away , just in case you decide to return to sngs.

Hello Players! Time to sum up the challenge. Below you will find the summary within the particular stakes I played. In total, the challenge took me 362 games, which was 9765€ in buy-ins, I won 96 SNGs and ran up 72 times. 46% ITM. I worked out a profit of 1917€, which stands for 19.6% ROI. To my surprise I did the best on the highest stakes, ROI>25% caltulated on a special demand of @monkeyheaven😛 25€ SNGs were my Achilles' heel with only 3.6% ROI. I can tell you that the variance was either a friend and an enemy to me within each stake. I won some stuff that had no right to happen, but the other way round as well, I remember I lost a HU having 9500 chips  It probably was not a factor regarding the entire challenge, but if you say I was lucky, I'm totally fine with that. I was certainly lucky proving myself once again that the consistency and faith in the goal have been set are gold in poker. Someone said that in poker you have to be honest with yourself at first, and I think it's truth. As long as you stick to your own rules, nothing bad can happen.

? I've calculated the results twice, and still 0.65€ difference, you will have to forgive me that 😛

* @monkeyheaven, you should do the top50 players list, so I could see if I'm even there 😞 :haha:

At the same time I've been thinking of a way to show my appreciation to all of you who have been interested and supported me during the challenge. I would like to run a tournament to celebrate finishing of my challenge. I hope @MarcoV or other Unibet guys will help me to set that, if it's possible. I've gathered a number of UO Tickets that I would like to put into the prizepool, 2x50€ 4x25€, and 5x10€, so 250€ in UO tickets to give away for you guys 😃 Everyone who has left a comment or a like up to this point is invited. The format of the tournament is up to you. It can be a freeroll, or we can set a 1-10€ buyin to increase the prizepool. We can have 2000 chips turbo or 10k deepstack, whatever you want. I would like to have one of the above tickets as a bounty on my head, just to mess up a little bit 😏 What do you say players? Just waiting for your suggestions. GL ALL
