Hello,

When a bet has just been placed and is in the waiting list, is it still possible to cancel it ?

For example, i juts bet on Germany-Poland for tonight (not starting before 2 1/2  hours) but i want to cancel that bet now.  IS it possible ?

Sometimes it's possible and sometimes it isn't, depending on the circumstances. In order to get the best chances of having your bet cancelled, you should contact customer support soon as possible so they can get in touch with our sportsbook, who can make the decision on a possible bet cancellation.

I talked to support by live chat and they told me they can only cancel if there was a technical error, no other cases.

So i guess when a bet is done, its done.  Its too bad we dont have a 15 minute possibility to cancel when its starting much later, in case we forgot something or did an error when placing the bet.

Anyway, just wanted to post what support told me for others if they wonder.

That's not completely true. If it's the first time you request to get a bet cancelled, it's a pre-match bet and the odds is the same as when you placed it, we'll almost always cancel it - even if there wasn't a technical issue. Sorry that our support told you something else!

It's done purely as a good-will gesture, as our T&C clearly state that a bet can't be cancelled once accepted:

A.3.2 Unless accepted in Error, once accepted, a bet will remain valid and cannot be withdrawn. It is the responsibility of the Account Holder to ensure details of the bets placed are correct. Under no circumstance Unibet will accept any responsibility for any mistakes (perceived and actual), deriving from either Errors as listed under , or any other reason, such as but not limited to, incorrect listing of the odds/betting objects.”

Thank you for reporting this.

I'm sorry to hear that you've also experienced it! We'll make sure that the procedure is communicated better to the agents.

  • 8 months later...

I actually just tried to cancel a bet right after I made one through customer support (the first time I've done it), and in the circumstances Ive already bet on the opposing team twice. The odds were the same and I opened the chat seconds after I posted the bet, and spoke to Jani. Jani said you couldn't do it. Thats so unfortunate, as its pretty clear I bet twice on the other team (Detroit) already, and didnt want to bet on the Avalanche. It is my responsibility to be accurate when I confirm, which is fair, but just so other people know, this good faith policy doesn't seem to be made clear yet!

Happy betting everyone!
